Welcome Back...........

No automatic alt text available.

Welcome back!  Actually its ME that has been gone.  Long story short.  Been sick, No Blogging, No excuses.  So....I am back and want to inspire you more than ever.  I also have a group on Facebook, if you are a member....  Called Deerland Stamping.  PLEASE stop by and ask to join.  No frills just new cards and projects posted EVERY day to inspire you.  Easy Peasy.  I will occasionally post about specials and sales but mostly just PROJECTS!

Not much new here,  still stamping, keeping the grands, takin care of the pets.  Joey, Maggie and Karma are doing great.  We did loose Fuzz this fall.  He was 20 years old.  Great Kitty.  We really miss him and fear we will NEVER have another like him.  Karma greived for 2 months....she would not eat and she cried all the time.  It was so sad.  She is doing better now.  She actually seems to like to play with Maggie and they are havin a good time.  Joe is Joe.  Plugging along.

Grands are great.  Sophie is 13 and in Middle school......UGH!!!  No words.   Brooke is 4 and started pre-school this October.   She loves school and her teacher.  WOW....they are absolutely growing too fast.  They spend alot of Sundays and Wednesday nights with us, while Mom and Dad work.

Dave is still with Ford Motor Co...has a few more years to work.  They had a nice 6 month lay off while Fords retooled the plant to make the Ranger.  Gosh we really got into that.  He is on Days and that is a hard routine for us.  He has been on afternoons/nights for 25 years.

Still stamping with Stampin Up.  Loving it.  Just passed my $800,000 career milestone in 16 years.  That is alot of stamps and carstock.  My plan is to try to sneak into the techy world.  You are going to see MORE blog posts, MORE Facebook posts, MORE videos,  and unfortunately maybe a little less class time.  But if you sign up ahead there will always be classes.  Check on Facebook for schedules and my Stampin up website calender too.

Stampin' for Autism

There is no blood test, no scan, and no image that can
detect autism. Diagnosis relies on behavioral observation
and screening.

Hi everyone.  I know I havent blogged in a while, but my friend Kelly has asked me to do so for a wonderful cause.   Here is a sweet little project using the Autism colors.  In our next catalog we will
be able to knock projects out of the park with some of our new products.  Just wait and see.  But here
is a super simple project for you.

Directions:

  1. So you will cut a piece of black cardstock that is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.
  2. You are going to make a piece that Flips up and the message will be under that.  That piece will be 8 1/2 x 3 1/4".  Score that at 4 1/4.
  3. You will adhere that to the quarter sheet of black with 1/2 of it glued to the back of that base and the flap on front so that you can open the card.
  4. This is where you will put some white cardstock that measures 3 1/8 x 4 1/8.  Stamp your greeting on that.  Close the flap.  Now lets decorate the flap.
  5. I put another piece of white that was 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 on top of the black and then layered a piece of designer paper from the Petal Passion paper stack that measures 3 x 4 inches.
  6. Colored those awesome flowers with my daffodil, red and pacific point markers.  I did use some garden green for the leaves.
  7. I also used some of the Whisper White 1/4" Organza ribbon and wrapped it round and tied it just for some pretty.....LOL.
  8. I always love to use our ribbon.  It adds just a little embellishment for not a lot of money.  Our ribbon is the bomb!
  9. Now for that little added piece on the front.....I stamped my greeting from the petal palette stamp set and the flowers too......
  10. Cut those pieces of white and black with the Lots of Labels framelits (138281) and layered them.  Adhered just the right half to the card flap.
  11. Added a little color to the flowers and some rhinestones which I colored with our Stampin Blends Markers (they are alcohol markers) and VIOLA!

Would love to have you donate a little something to the Autism Society to help kids and adults everywhere.  Research is desperately needed.  Thank you for all you do.

Now I am going to send you over to my friend Amy Combs Blog.
She has an awesome project waiting for you!
Have fun!

Thank you again for stopping by.
