Stampin' for Autism

There is no blood test, no scan, and no image that can
detect autism. Diagnosis relies on behavioral observation
and screening.

Hi everyone.  I know I havent blogged in a while, but my friend Kelly has asked me to do so for a wonderful cause.   Here is a sweet little project using the Autism colors.  In our next catalog we will
be able to knock projects out of the park with some of our new products.  Just wait and see.  But here
is a super simple project for you.

Directions:

  1. So you will cut a piece of black cardstock that is 5 1/2 by 4 1/4.
  2. You are going to make a piece that Flips up and the message will be under that.  That piece will be 8 1/2 x 3 1/4".  Score that at 4 1/4.
  3. You will adhere that to the quarter sheet of black with 1/2 of it glued to the back of that base and the flap on front so that you can open the card.
  4. This is where you will put some white cardstock that measures 3 1/8 x 4 1/8.  Stamp your greeting on that.  Close the flap.  Now lets decorate the flap.
  5. I put another piece of white that was 3 1/8 x 4 1/8 on top of the black and then layered a piece of designer paper from the Petal Passion paper stack that measures 3 x 4 inches.
  6. Colored those awesome flowers with my daffodil, red and pacific point markers.  I did use some garden green for the leaves.
  7. I also used some of the Whisper White 1/4" Organza ribbon and wrapped it round and tied it just for some pretty.....LOL.
  8. I always love to use our ribbon.  It adds just a little embellishment for not a lot of money.  Our ribbon is the bomb!
  9. Now for that little added piece on the front.....I stamped my greeting from the petal palette stamp set and the flowers too......
  10. Cut those pieces of white and black with the Lots of Labels framelits (138281) and layered them.  Adhered just the right half to the card flap.
  11. Added a little color to the flowers and some rhinestones which I colored with our Stampin Blends Markers (they are alcohol markers) and VIOLA!

Would love to have you donate a little something to the Autism Society to help kids and adults everywhere.  Research is desperately needed.  Thank you for all you do.

Now I am going to send you over to my friend Amy Combs Blog.
She has an awesome project waiting for you!
Have fun!

Thank you again for stopping by.

Beautiful card design! Thank you so much for participating in this hop! I have two young boys both with autism and this means the world to me. You are helping to raise awareness for autism and I can not thank you enough for that ❤️
